If you’ve ever wanted to experience a masterclass in frustration, look no further—this place is a total disaster. They’ve truly thought of everything when it comes to making your day an absolute nightmare!
First, let’s talk about the parking lot attendants. These highly skilled navigational saboteurs will confidently direct you nowhere near where you actually need to go for a lift ticket. Fun little scavenger hunt to start your day!
Next up, the daycare. Ah yes, the place with a very clear sign instructing you not to walk in, but don’t worry—you’ll never get the chance because no one, and I mean no one, will answer the doorbell. Maybe they’re just testing how long you’ll stand there before you lose your last shred of patience?
Then, there’s the cherry on top: the longest, flattest, most soul-sucking stretch of land connecting two sections of the mountain. Hope you brought your best endurance game because you’ll be on your way to a full-body workout.
Oh, but the fun doesn’t stop there! They’ve also got an absolute artistic lack of signage, ensuring that you’ll get lost in total existential despair . And let’s not forget the broken turnstiles, which add a delightful little parkour challenge to your day—who doesn’t love awkwardly climbing over obstacles in ski boots?
And finally, their beginner hill. A true marvel of engineering, where “beginner” means “steep, unpredictable, and wildly inconsistent.” If you were hoping for a gentle slope to learn on, please reconsider all your life choices that led you here.
In conclusion, this place is a train wreck wrapped in a snowstorm, topped with a bow of pure...
Read moreWe had a great experience this past break at Snowbird. We stayed at Cliff Lodge . Accommodations were good, the lockers a huge convenience. Having ability to rent, service gear have dinner , access to spa and gym all in one convenient place was awesome.
Our kids preferred Snowbird over Alta runs and we spent most time staying at the resort. We had a great time and will definitely recommend!
There is no where to go so be warned you will stay on prem most time. We knew this and we're fine with it .
Our restaurant preference is as follows (every place we are at was overpriced and I am setting that aside). We really liked: 1.SeventyOne, service and good food. We also like the atrium cafe and the hot chocolate bar from 3-5pm. 2.Next were all the lunch places around snow bird center. Birdfeeder, forklift etc. Steak pit. Decent and decent service. Quite pricey.
We would not recommend: Wildflower: food and service was a miss. None of the flavors , even for simple dishes were right. Atrium: limited menu. Food and service was mediocre and prices high.
All in all a very good experience and we would visit again. Very expensive but goes with the territory. A bonus - snowbird had decent snow while Park city had closed runs due to lack of snow. We were told this valley typically gets more snow. Depending on your motivation, and how high skiing ranks, keep...
Read moreMy 5 stars are for the spa, it is a must go! The CBD Massage was worth its weight in gold after 3 days of UT ski in a row. The reviews are correct, this is not a good place for beginners but I love steep terrain as an advanced intermediate. I could handle all of the blue trails but they were equivalent to any black diamond back in the Northeast. There are a ton of moguls everywhere and you can get into trouble if you don't know the section you are skiing in. Also, I almost got ran over twice by snowboarders from behind me who think they are training for the Olympics with their go-pros on. I liked Alta much better, but that is because it was skiers only and had more terrain that I could handle. I try to stay within my level, I am not an expert by any means. Also there wasn't fresh snow on our trip but the conditions were still pretty awesome and I would try to tackle it again! Beautiful...
