ποΈ Acadia National Park β 2-Day Chill Guide ππ²
We spent about a day and a half in the park (originally planned for two days, but we went whale watching on the second morning π³). Each trail offers different views and difficulty levels. Precipice is the hardest. We originally wanted to try Beehive, but since my friend is afraid of heights, we opted for the Gorham Mountain Trail + Ocean Path loop instead β moderate difficulty with gorgeous mountain and ocean views! β°οΈπ I highly recommend downloading the AllTrails app π² to explore different routes. It shows you the path, elevation, estimated time, and real reviews + photos from other hikers β super helpful for deciding which trail is right for you! π₯Ύ Gorham Mountain Trail βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ The park has a one-way loop. We parked near Thunder Hole π ΏοΈ. I suggest tackling the mountain first and finishing with the relaxing Ocean Path. Gorham isnβt too hard β mostly flat with a few rocky sections where you might use your hands. Wear shoes with good grip! The summit offers stunning views of the mountains, Sand Beach, and the ocean ππΈ π Ocean Path Loop βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Mostly flat and incredibly scenic! You can hit Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliff, Otter Point Overlook, and Otter Cove all in one go. πΌ Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse βοΈβοΈβοΈ Located in Tremont β about an hour from Bar Harbor. This cliffside lighthouse is photogenic, though it looks better in photos than in person π The pine trees, rocky coast, and ocean vibes are unique β very different from Ocean Path. Youβll need to climb over some rocks for the best angles. Parking is limited, so be prepared to wait. β¨ More Tips: Cadillac Mountain Sunrise π : Not a must-do IMO β especially if youβre staying far away. If youβre nearby, try booking a ticket (released 2 days in advance at 10 AM). Stargazing at Sand Beach π: We skipped it due to an early whale watch, but on a clear night, itβs supposed to be magical! Time-lapse videos would turn out amazing. Jordan Pond Trail π: Sadly we missed it this time β perfect for a peaceful lakeside stroll. #AcadiaNationalPark #NYCLife #VisitMaine #OceanHiking #EastCoastTravel
