❄️ Alaska|Fairbanks Day 3 📒

❄️ Alaska|Fairbanks Day 3 📒 Another day starting at noon 🌤️ 📍 Fairbanks 🗺️ First stopped here to pick up two certificates — one for crossing the Arctic Circle and one for seeing the northern lights 📄✅. They have lots of unique stamps you can press yourself 🖨️. There’s also a small section with some exhibits about Alaskan history, but I was too hungry to look closely 😄. For lunch, we chose the Thai restaurant recommended earlier. 📍 Lemongrass Thai Restaurant 🥢🥘 Overall just okay. The memorable part: hot water costs $2 💸😅. The water in Alaska seems to have a rusty taste, so paying $2 for it felt a bit much. ⭐️ Recommended Dish • Chili Chili Duck This was the best thing we tried here. First time having duck cooked this way — crispy on the outside, served with a super tasty dipping sauce, and boneless 🦆✨. 📍 Santa Claus House 🎄🎅🏻 It’s Christmas season 🎄, so of course we had to visit Santa’s house 🎅🏻! The place is basically a gift shop. You can take photos with Santa, but after browsing for a bit, it got a little boring. We bought a hot chocolate 🍫 and some ice cream 🍦 to rest for a while. Wanted to buy a fridge magnet but didn’t see any nice ones. The moose-poop magnet I saw online was already sold out since we went late in the afternoon 😅. 📍 HooDoo Brewing Company 🍻 The place was packed with locals. Since we went pretty late, we each just had a beer. It was a fun experience — drinking an ice-cold beer in -30°C weather outside literally made me shiver 🥶🍺. Kids are allowed inside. They check ID when you buy alcohol. You can drink both indoors and outdoors 🍻. It’s a nice spot to hang out with friends and take some photos 📸. 📍 The Pump House Restaurant Fairbanks 🍽️ Overall a great place. We came specifically for the reindeer meat and king crab. The 🫎 was more tender than expected, but the 🦀 was just okay — maybe I’m used to more varied preparations back home; here it just tasted like plain crab. ⭐️ Recommended Dishes • Elk Medallions 🫎 • Crème Brûlée !!!!!!! (Seriously soooooooo good 🤤 I love crème brûlée!!!) #AlaskaTrip #Fairbanks #FairbanksFood #SantaClausHouseFairbanks
