🍽️ Baltimore Eats | Tried & True Food Spots!
Having lived in Baltimore for almost two years, I haven’t explored many hidden gems, but I’ve definitely found some reliable go-to spots! Here’s a list for students and locals who want great food without traveling too far 🚗💨. 1. Kong Pocha 📍 *12 W 20th St, Baltimore, MD 21218* Our family’s comfort food heaven! 🏠 Fried Chicken + Tofu Soup / Bibimbap – Always a safe and satisfying choice. Curry Omelette Rice – Friends love it, though I find it a bit rich halfway through. Beef Fried Rice – Just tried it – so good! 😋 2. The Food Market 📍 *1017 W 36th St, Baltimore, MD 21211* Crab Cake – Solid and well-made. Sea Bass – Not crispy-skinned but tender inside, topped with aromatic bread crumbs. Creamy Shrimp – Better than expected! Served with bread chunks soaked in savory sauce – highly recommend! Rosé Wine (“Whispering Angel”) – Light but not very fruity. 3. Pho Bac 📍 700 S Potomac St, Baltimore, MD Bun Bo Hue – A must-try! Spicy beef & pork noodle soup with thicker, slippery rice noodles. Thai Tea – Perfect pairing! Fried Chicken Wings – Marinated, fried, and wok-tossed with onions and jalapeños – wok hei goodness! 🍗🔥 4. Secret Shaanxi Snack WeChat Group 🥙 A hidden gem delivering near the medical and Homewood campuses every two weeks! Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi) – With garlic or sesame sauce – both delicious! Roujiamo – Stuffed with meat and cilantro (cilantro lovers rejoice!). Braised Beef – Tender, flavorful, and served with chili oil. 5. Pho d‘Lite Yummy Asian Restaurant 📍 *8926 Waltham Woods Rd, Parkville, MD 21234* An underrated Chinese spot with a misleading name! Pork with Pickled Veggie Noodles 🍜 Signature Beef Noodles – Perfect for soup cravings! Pan-Fried Buns (Shengjianbao) & Pork Scallion Buns – Great for breakfast! Dig in and enjoy! Baltimore has its flaws, but the food scene definitely has highlights 😉. #BaltimoreEats #DMVFood #FoodGuide #AsianCuisine #ComfortFood
