πΊπΈ East Coast Travel | How to Enjoy Baltimore Safely
Is Baltimore really as scary as people say? Today Iβm introducing this relatively underrated port city on the East Coast β Baltimore, Maryland π§. Located within the Northeast corridor, itβs easily accessible from Philadelphia, DC, NYC, and Pittsburgh. While many associate it with safety concerns, I found plenty of beauty and joy here during the day! Perfect for a 1β2 day cultural and scenic trip. Spring is especially lovely β if youβre visiting DC for the cherry blossoms πΈ, come to Baltimore for its stunning magnolias! π DAY 1 Fort McHenry National Monument π° β Historic fort where the U.S. national anthem was born. Inner Harbor π β The heart of tourism with museums, ships, and lively vibes. National Aquarium π β One of the best in the U.S.! Historic Ships β β Board the USCG Lightship Chesapeake and the USS Torsk submarine. Top of the World Observatory ποΈ β Panoramic views from the World Trade Center. West Shore Park ποΈ β Leisurely walk with harbor views. American Visionary Art Museum π¨ β Colorful, creative, and highly Instagrammable! Maryland Science Center π¬ β Interactive and fun for all ages. Federal Hill Park π β Overlook the Inner Harbor skyline. π DAY 2 Washington Monument (Baltimore version!) ποΈ β Surrounded by magnolias (bloom in late March). George Peabody Library π β Breathtaking architecture, a book loverβs dream. Baltimore Museum of Art πΌοΈ β Free entry + gorgeous magnolias outside. Johns Hopkins University π β Stroll through the beautiful campus. πΈ I headed to DC in the afternoon for cherry blossoms β check my previous post for more! π‘οΈ Safety Tips: β Tourist areas are generally safe during the day. β Avoid deserted streets and do NOT go out at night. β Park in secured Inner Harbor garages β donβt leave anything in your car. β Stay alert, but donβt let fear ruin your trip β I felt safe and had a great time! π¦ Food Recommendation: Try Captain James Crab House at Inner Harbor for delicious Maryland crabs! π¦ You can mix and match these spots over 1β2 days. If you have more time, explore other East Coast cities and make it a road trip! ππΊοΈ #Baltimore #TravelUSA #EastCoast #SafeTravel #WeekendGetaway #History #Aquarium #ArtLover #SpringBlossoms πΈπΈ
