πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ East Coast Travel | How to Enjoy Baltimore Safely

Is Baltimore really as scary as people say? Today I’m introducing this relatively underrated port city on the East Coast β€” Baltimore, Maryland 🧭. Located within the Northeast corridor, it’s easily accessible from Philadelphia, DC, NYC, and Pittsburgh. While many associate it with safety concerns, I found plenty of beauty and joy here during the day! Perfect for a 1–2 day cultural and scenic trip. Spring is especially lovely β€” if you’re visiting DC for the cherry blossoms 🌸, come to Baltimore for its stunning magnolias! 🌟 DAY 1 Fort McHenry National Monument 🏰 – Historic fort where the U.S. national anthem was born. Inner Harbor 🌊 – The heart of tourism with museums, ships, and lively vibes. National Aquarium 🐠 – One of the best in the U.S.! Historic Ships βš“ – Board the USCG Lightship Chesapeake and the USS Torsk submarine. Top of the World Observatory πŸ™οΈ – Panoramic views from the World Trade Center. West Shore Park 🏞️ – Leisurely walk with harbor views. American Visionary Art Museum 🎨 – Colorful, creative, and highly Instagrammable! Maryland Science Center πŸ”¬ – Interactive and fun for all ages. Federal Hill Park πŸŒ† – Overlook the Inner Harbor skyline. 🌟 DAY 2 Washington Monument (Baltimore version!) πŸ›οΈ – Surrounded by magnolias (bloom in late March). George Peabody Library πŸ“š – Breathtaking architecture, a book lover’s dream. Baltimore Museum of Art πŸ–ΌοΈ – Free entry + gorgeous magnolias outside. Johns Hopkins University πŸŽ“ – Stroll through the beautiful campus. 🌸 I headed to DC in the afternoon for cherry blossoms β€” check my previous post for more! πŸ›‘οΈ Safety Tips: βœ… Tourist areas are generally safe during the day. βœ… Avoid deserted streets and do NOT go out at night. βœ… Park in secured Inner Harbor garages β€” don’t leave anything in your car. βœ… Stay alert, but don’t let fear ruin your trip β€” I felt safe and had a great time! πŸ¦€ Food Recommendation: Try Captain James Crab House at Inner Harbor for delicious Maryland crabs! πŸ¦€ You can mix and match these spots over 1–2 days. If you have more time, explore other East Coast cities and make it a road trip! πŸš—πŸ—ΊοΈ #Baltimore #TravelUSA #EastCoast #SafeTravel #WeekendGetaway #History #Aquarium #ArtLover #SpringBlossoms πŸŒΈπŸ“Έ
