A hidden gem in the courtyards of Mitte! I absolutely love the dining environment and atmosphere here. In the summer, you can even dine outdoors in the courtyard! ☀️🌿 Though they describe themselves as serving German cuisine, it’s not entirely traditional. They incorporate elements from various world cuisines, with carefully refined and creative pairings. Their signature dish? Meat cooked low and slow for 12 hours! Even after five years, the quality remains excellent! 👏 🐷 Duroc Pork Slow-roasted pork with lemon-garlic yogurt sauce SO good!!! The low-temperature cooking makes the pork melt-in-your-mouth tender. The yogurt sauce perfectly balances the richness of the meat, and the crispy fried onions on top give away its German roots! 🤤 🥦 Roasted Cauliflower Roasted cauliflower with potatoes and buttery sauce A surprisingly delightful vegetarian dish! The crispy bits on top reminded me of salt and pepper shrimp—it’s that good! 😋 💛 Buffalo Burrata Burrata cheese with basil sauce and pickles Such an unexpected combo, but it works so well! Delicious!!! They tend to adjust the pairings seasonally, and recently, they swapped the pickles for pomelo. I bet that tastes amazing too! 🍊 🍨 Dessert I was too full for dessert this time, but I’ve had their sorbet before, and it was unforgettable! They change the flavors with the seasons too. 🌿🍧 🍷&🍹 They emphasize pairing food with drinks here. Last time, I had red wine with the meat, which was perfect. This time, I tried the cocktail menu. The drinks were tasty, but overall pretty light. I think I still prefer wine with food—cocktail complexity can clash with the food, and I end up not tasting much of either. 😂 Remember, reservations are a must!
