🕊️ Best Kansas City Overlook Spot 🕊️

The most iconic landmark in Kansas City is undoubtedly Union Station—search for the city, and it’s sure to dominate the results! The best overlook and photo spot is right beside the WWI Memorial, where you can capture not only the station but also the city’s full skyline 🏙️. We arrived just before sunset. Unfortunately, the WWI Museum was already closed, so we only explored the exterior. It’s home to the world’s most comprehensive WWI collection, and the grounds are impeccably maintained—solemn, symmetrical, and deeply dignified from an aerial view. ✨ A Glimpse into Union Station’s History: Opened in 1914, but passenger numbers declined sharply in the 1950s, leading to its closure in 1985. Temporarily repurposed as a museum in 1999. Restored as a functional train station in 2002—now the second-busiest station in Missouri. The interior is grand and nostalgic, especially during Christmas season 🎄, making you feel like you’ve stepped right into an American movie! 🎥 📌 Practical Info: National World War I Museum and Memorial 🎫 Admission: Free ⏰ Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Closed Mondays) 📍 Address: 2 Memorial Dr, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA Union Station 🎫 Admission: Free ⏰ Hours: 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM 📍 Address: 30 W Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA ✨ Fun fact: Kansas City spans two states—most of it lies in Missouri, including Union Station and the Memorial! Only a smaller portion extends into Kansas. #KansasCity #Kansas #Missouri #TravelUSA #USHistory #WWI #MustVisit #TravelGuide #AmericanAdventure
