🎵 A Weekend in Kansas City 🎵
After an overnight flight, I arrived at Kansas City Airport around noon on Friday. The only public transport to downtown is bus #229, which runs just once an hour and takes about an hour. Since I had a brewery tour booked for 2 PM, I ended up taking an Uber. 🍻 Boulevard Brewing Company – Unfiltered Tour The Unfiltered Tour is only available on Fridays and Sundays. Even though I’m not a big beer drinker, I couldn’t miss the chance! That day, there were only three of us on the tour. Two guides chatted with us, showed us around, and offered tastings. I learned a lot about beer—it was such a fun experience! 🏛️ WWI Museum & City View I didn’t have enough time to visit the museum itself, but I climbed up to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. It was drizzling, so I didn’t get to see a sunset, but the rain-kissed skyline had its own charm. 🚂 Union Station & Jack Stack BBQ After coming down, I passed through Union Station and admired its Christmas decorations 🎄, then headed to Jack Stack BBQ for dinner. I ordered the burnt ends—so flavorful and satisfying! A girl at the next table recommended the carrot cake 🥕🍰. I’m glad I tried it—the cake was warm, soft, and not too sweet. Even though the frosting was a bit heavy, it was still delicious… maybe even better than the BBQ! 🎶 Green Lady Lounge – Jazz Bar As the birthplace of American jazz, Kansas City knows how to do music right. Green Lady Lounge was just a short walk from the BBQ place. For a $5 cover charge and the price of a cocktail, I enjoyed over an hour of live jazz starting at 6 PM. It was the perfect relaxed ending to the day. #KansasCity #WeekendVibes #JazzMusic #BeerTour #TravelDiary #USATravel
