ποΈ Cairns & The Great Barrier Reef | βοΈ Avoid the Rainy Season!
Cairns was the starting point of our Australia round-trip! A serious warning here everyone β οΈ β February is the rainy season. Do NOT visit Cairns or the Whitsundays around this time!! π Travel Guide This edition brings you a full guide to Cairns β a small city in North Queensland π and the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef ποΈ. π’ Great Barrier Reef Day Trip by Boat π§οΈ Kuranda Rainforest Day Tour (Optional. Personally found it too commercialized) π Hot Air Balloon Ride over Atherton Tablelands πͺ Skydiving at Mission Beach / Tully River Rafting / Paronella Park π City Walk (Art Gallery - Lagoon - Aquarium - Museum - Night Market) Recommended length: 5D4N or 4D3N β adjust based on your preferences! π Car Rental Not recommended in Cairns. Attractions are spread out, but most day tours include π bus transfers, which are more convenient. π‘ Travel Tips Best time to visit: Avoid February (rainy season βοΈ). If you donβt believe me, Accommodation: Cairns City is super small β just stay somewhere near downtown for easy access Must-bring: Sunglasses, sunscreen, swimwear π©± If going to Tully River Rafting β bring a change of clothes. You WILL get completely soaked! π¦ Keep your expectations modest: aside from the Reef, Cairns itself isnβt mind-blowing. Relax and enjoy the slow-paced coastal vibe! #TravelSketch #ExploreAustralia #CairnsTravel #GreatBarrierReef #Diving #HotAirBalloon #Skydiving #TravelGuide #Snorkeling #Wanderlust
