β°οΈ Calgary | Banff 4 Days & 3 Nights Guide (Part 2)
π Itinerary, Tips & major lakes β see previous post π π Banff Town: β’ Banff Avenue: The main street filled with souvenir shops, outdoor gear stores (like Canada Goose, Patagonia, TNF), and boutiques offering unique items. π¦ Note: Arcβteryx isnβt available in a standalone store here, but you can find it at retailers like Monod Sports and Atmosphere. (Alberta has 7% less provincial tax than BC β better deals than Vancouver!) β’ Bear Street: A paradise for art lovers π¨ β galleries, craft shops, and great food! π Hankki: Originally from Calgary, serves Korean bibimbap and snacks. Their shaved ice is a must-try β super creamy with milk and coconut flakes π§. Matcha and mango flavors are highly recommended! π Balkan Restaurant: A Greek restaurant open since 1984. Their tender lamb shank with pita and hummus is delicious π. Try the strawberry spritz β Aperol spritz topped with a scoop of strawberry ice cream β surprisingly refreshing! π BTW: Donβt miss Poutine β a calorie bomb from Quebec made of fries, cheese curds, and gravy, sometimes topped with ham or salmon! π« Activities & Tickets: β’ Lake Louise & Moraine Lake shuttle: Book online at Parks Canada 2 days in advance at 8 AM. β’ Banff Park entry: $22/day. Better to rent a car with a Parks Canada annual pass. β’ Gondola & other activities: Buy tickets at Banff Jasper Collection. Combo tickets are cheaper β check operating hours and seasonal closures! π Accommodation: Compare options in Banff Town, Canmore, and Lake Louise. For budget-friendly stays, consider Canmore (outside the park) and drive daily π. Banff Town offers more variety and convenience β but book early! π΄ More Food Recommendations: π The Wolf's Den: A meat loverβs paradise with great beer ππ» π The Wood Restaurant & Lounge: At the end of Main St in Canmore β you canβt visit Alberta without trying their beef! π₯© #AutumnVibes #Banff #BanffNationalPark #BanffGuide #Hiking #BanffTravel #FoodRecommendations πποΈβ¨
