πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Calgary 5 Days & 4 Nights Travel Guide (Part 2)

As you can tell, the first two days of this guide covered the classic Calgary spots. But by days 3 and 4… I went totally off the beaten path! 🀣 Day 03: Mt Pleasant View Point β†’ Crescent Heights Lookout Point β†’ Caesar's Steak House & Lounge Had some errands in the morning, so no major sightseeing. In the afternoon, I walked north from DT to two riverside viewpoints. Loved the slope-side path at Crescent Heights Lookout Point β€” you get a full view of downtown Calgary and the Bow River πŸ™οΈπŸŒŠ. Lots of locals walking their dogs, too! But… yeah, late April scenery was still a bit bare πŸ™‰. Calgary trees, why you no leaf yet? πŸ˜‚ Everyone says you have to try Alberta beef, so I went to Caesar's for steak. But if you like your steak well-done (like me), maybe skip it β€” they tend to overcook it. Their salad was great though! Baby lettuce with walnuts, bacon bits, and a perfect vinaigrette πŸ₯—. Day 04: TELUS Spark Science Centre β†’ Esker Foundation β†’ Fort Calgary β†’ The Military Museums β†’ Grey Eagle Resort and Casino A day of exhibitions! Started at the TELUS Spark Science Centre β€” currently hosting a Da Vinci machines exhibit + an immersive cosmic light room 🌌. Lots of interactive installations β€” super fun for kids! I even caught a little science show πŸ§ͺπŸ‘§. Esker Foundation β€” free art gallery in Inglewood (from my previous post). Easy to combine with other stops in the area. Fort Calgary β€” a museum about the city’s development over the past century, including immigration history πŸ›οΈ. The Military Museums β€” stumbled upon this on the way to Grey Eagle. Surprisingly large, with its own library. I’m not into military stuff, but it felt like a lesson in peace πŸ•ŠοΈ. Seeing all those powerful weapons, lists of fallen soldiers, and decorated generals… it hits different when you realize β€” in war, nobody wins. Ended the day with a buffet at Grey Eagle. Didn’t make it for Asian Night (Wed), so tried Steak Night (Fri). Okay selection, nothing amazing. Overall, I enjoyed Calgary! The city feels very family-friendly, and DT feels safe to walk around. But the food didn’t wow me, and winters are loooong (classic Canada πŸ˜…). Probably wouldn’t move here β€” though the housing prices are tempting lol! Next time, I’m hitting those mountains and lakes I missed! πŸ”οΈ #Calgary #CalgaryTravel #CalgaryGuide #51Vlog πŸ§³πŸ“Έ
