🍽️ Cincinnati Food Guide (Part 1)
No particular order – these are all places I’ve been to multiple times and highly recommend! 1️⃣ Hofbräuhaus Newport 🇩🇪 Located across the river in Newport – always busy! Their pork knuckle (schweinshaxe) is solid, and the potato salad is literally THE BEST. I’d steal the recipe if I could 😂🍻 2️⃣ El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant 🇲🇽 Huge portions and lots of options. One of the more authentic Mexican spots in the area! 🌮 3️⃣ Taste of Belgium - The Banks 🧇 A local chain known for chicken & waffles. Quality varies by location – the one at The Banks is the most consistent and best-tasting imo. 4️⃣ Nicola’s 🇮🇹 My personal favorite restaurant in Cincy! Excellent service and every dish I’ve tried has been a hit. No disappointments here 👌🍝 5️⃣ Sotto 🕯️ Hyped online – it’s good, but not mind-blowing. Their pasta is fresh, but flavor-wise it didn’t fully live up to the buzz. Tough to get a reservation, too! 6️⃣ Saigon Subs and Rolls 🍜 Tried nearly every pho place around – this one takes the crown 🍲! Super affordable and legit. Heads up: they’re only open on weekdays for lunch. 7️⃣ Maplewood Kitchen and Bar 🥞 A fantastic brunch spot – always a line! There’s also Wild Eggs downtown, but I prefer Maplewood. 8️⃣ Eli’s BBQ 🍖 Best ribs in the area, hands down. Their dry rub is secret-level good. Cornbread is a must-try too! Two locations – the Findlay one is more convenient. 9️⃣ Mita’s 🇪🇸 Their signature paella was underwhelming – too salty and the octopus was fishy 🐙. Some tapas were decent, but I don’t eat ceviche so can’t judge that. 🔟 Jeff Ruby’s 🥩 Considered one of the best steakhouses in town, but I found the steak just okay – honestly prefer Morton’s. Their salad, though? Surprisingly incredible. Even salad-haters would come back for it 🥗! 1️⃣1️⃣ The Capital Grille 🍷 Yeah it’s a chain, but the Oakley location stands out. Service and quality are consistently better than in other cities. Above average for sure. 1️⃣2️⃣ The Eagle 🍗 Some say it’s the best fried chicken in town – I’d say it’s good but not amazing. Also, pro tip: Cincy doesn’t have Church’s, but head to Lee’s in Bellevue (KY) for unexpectedly delicious spicy tenders. Simple, satisfying, cheap goodness. 📍All around Greater Cincinnati – check Google Maps before you go! #CincinnatiEats #FoodGuide #OhioFood #CincyFoodScene #RestaurantReviews #FoodieAdventure
