π¬ LA Hollywood, a Super Hip Spot for Oysters and Scallops πͺ Limited and Cozy Seating - Couldn't get through on the phone, so we decided to walk in. Ordered drinks at the door and waited while sipping, and within about 30 minutes (for 3 people), we were seated. π First-time worries led us to order a half-dozen oysters + scallops, which turned out to be so delicious that we couldn't resist ordering a bunch of signature dishes and an additional dozen oysters π€¦π»ββοΈ. π Recommendations: π¦ͺ Oysters - Oyster lovers, don't miss out. The scallops, on the other hand, were just average; not as memorable as the marinated delicacies from Chaoshan. π€ Fried Oysters - Surprisingly plump and satisfying, paired with dipping sauce, the fried goodness brings happiness. π₯¦ Broccoli Rabe - A twist on the usual preparation with pickled chili, slightly sour and spicy, perfect after a meaty feast. ππ»ββοΈ Mediocre: π¦ Lobster Roll - Packed with lobster meat, we shared one among three to try more dishes. π₯ Scallop Tostada - The scallops were fresh, and the crispy base added texture, but the sauce overwhelmed the scallop's natural sweetness. π π»ββοΈ Not Recommended: π Lemon Pie - The sweetness of traditional American desserts was too much for us, even though the cute waitress insisted it wasn't too sweet.
