🏎️ F1 Austin Race Week Foodie Review: 3 Restaurants in 24 Hours!
Thought I came for the racing, but ended up on a culinary marathon instead! Here's my take on three spots I tried during race week: 1️⃣ Santa Catarina 🇲🇽 Verdict: Great value! Huge portions and delicious (but because of this I missed meeting Zhou Guanyu in my hotel lobby... crying real tears 😭) AGUACHILE Appetizer: Super tender shrimp with avocado and special sauce - an indescribable mix of sweet, sour and spicy! Refreshing and complex 🌶️🥑🍤 RANCHERAS Tacos: Copied from the next table - beef filling was incredibly fragrant and flavorful 🌮 Grilled Fish with Rice: Forgot the name... but perfectly charred fish with veggies and rice 🐟 COCONUT Cocktail: Delicious! Avoid the watermelon flavor 🍹 2️⃣ Two Hands 🇦🇺 Verdict: Instagram-famous brunch spot in a cute neighborhood 📸 Seasonal Scramble: Really tender scrambled eggs with fresh veggies 🥚 Pastries: Looked amazing and the ambiance was great 🍰 Solid for photos, but food and service were just okay. Better options exist for serious foodies! 3️⃣ Terry Black's BBQ 🥩 Verdict: Even our Uber driver said this is mandatory Texas BBQ! Beef Plate: Smoky and tender though got salty toward the end 🍖 Mac & Cheese: Incredibly creamy and cheesy 🧀 $90+ for two - not the best value for Texas BBQ. Packed during race week - go early! Final Thoughts: Austin during race week = crowds everywhere... but amazing food everywhere too! Can't tell if I came for the racing or the eating 😂 #AustinGP #TexasFood #AustinEats #RacingOrEating #FoodieMarathon #F1FoodTour
