🦀️🍲 Food Guide to Fairbanks, Alaska
1️⃣ The Pump House A classic seafood-focused American restaurant with charming rustic decor — I loved the cozy vibe! 🏠 There’s also a bar inside, but you need to be 21+ to order drinks. 🦀 King Crabs Dinner (comes with rice) — two crab legs (one large, one small), perfectly shareable for two! 🍝 Seafood Pasta — rich seafood flavor with thin spaghetti, clams, shrimp, and squid. 🥗 Blue Chicken Salad — generous portion with tasty grilled chicken, but otherwise a standard salad. 2️⃣ Seoul Gate 🇰🇷 Korean food that hits the spot! 🍲 Army Stew (Budae Jjigae) — authentic with ramen, rice cakes, and dumplings — filling and warm. 🍚 Bibimbap — on the sweeter side (I prefer the spicier Chinese-style version, but it was fine). 🍺 Alaska Amber Beer — decent taste, but my friend got flushed and dizzy quickly 🥴 — so if you’re not a regular drinker, maybe sip slowly or skip it! 3️⃣ Lemongrass 🍛 Tasty Thai food in the snow! 🍍 Pineapple Fried Rice — pretty good! 🥘 Tom Yum Soup — tangy and sweet, perfect for a light appetite. You can customize both dishes with your choice of chicken, beef, or seafood! 4️⃣ The Crepery 🥞 Crepes that remind me of Chinese jianbing! 🦀 Crab & Cheese Crepe — I barely tasted crab, and it was overly cheesy (4/10 for me). 🥚 Egg & Ham Crepe — surprisingly like an egg-stuffed pancake from back home! 🥹 (Found on the breakfast menu.) 💡 Other great crepe spots in town: Aurora Crepes & Peking Duck, North Pole Crepery, and more! Traveler’s Note: Fairbanks may be small, but it’s packed with flavor — from fresh Alaskan crab to warm Korean stews. Perfect for refueling between aurora hunts! 🌌✨ #FairbanksFood #AlaskaFood #TravelEats #AlaskaSeafood #USTravel #USA #AmericanTravel #LifeInTheUS #Fairbanks #NorthernLightsJourney #Aurora #FairbanksAurora #FairbanksDining #FoodieAdventures #EatAlaska
