🏙️ Hyatt Regency Dallas – A Mixed Experience with Prime Location

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Dallas for three nights, thanks to a credit card points redemption that included breakfast. The hotel’s location was ideal — close to museums and restaurants we planned to visit. Our room was on the 25th floor, offering a peaceful view away from the street noise below. 🚗 Parking Situation One downside: the hotel offers valet parking only. At $45 per night, plus tips each time you retrieve your car, parking alone can easily exceed $50 per night. Not exactly budget-friendly. 🍳 Breakfast & The “Tip-on-Tip” Dilemma Our rate included breakfast, but things got awkward when the final bill arrived: A service charge was already included Yet we were handed another slip to add an extra tip It felt like being charged twice for the same service. I understand tipping culture, but when staff are simply doing their basic job — seating guests and serving coffee — does it really warrant a tip on top of a service fee? It’s a part of American culture I’m still learning to navigate. ⭐ Final Thoughts Great location and comfortable rooms, but be prepared for mandatory valet parking and occasional confusion around extra charges. A solid stay — but not without its quirks. #HyattRegencyDallas #DallasStay #HotelLife #TravelTips #TippingCulture #CityGetaway
