🍽️ LA | Firstborn
Same location – once home to Pok Pok, which moved from Portland to LA 🌆 Times change… Years later, the same spot now houses Firstborn – as the name suggests, the first child, the eldest in line 👶🍴 Heirloom tomatoes – some love them, some don’t 🍅❤️🤷♀️ Beef tongue – you can skip this one 👅🚫 But the corn congee and Chongqing Chicken – these two dishes are absolute must-tries! 🌽🍗✨ During the meal, an ABC asked: “Isn’t Chongqing that super high-tech city?” I overheard and raised an eyebrow… 🤨❓ Then a Korean-American added: “Yeah, in that city, nothing touches the ground.” I sighed quietly to myself – no point jumping in. Let them imagine Chongqing however they want… 🏙️💭 And then the ABC ate the spicy chicken and ended up with a runny nose from the heat… 🌶️🤧 Have you been to Firstborn?
