Lucky for me, Lake Tapps Park, one of the best Mount Rainier viewpoints, was near my hotel. How could I miss this? At first, the mountain was hidden behind clouds But patience paid off—30 minutes later, the clouds parted just enough to reveal the "golden mountain" at sunset.
