Before we arrived, they even called in advance to ask about our anniversary details 📞, and when we sat down, there was a handwritten letter waiting for us on the table ✍️. That little touch was so warm and made the whole experience feel extra special 💕. The decor is also a highlight! Among the classic American old steakhouses I’ve tried, its interior design is on the nicer side 🎨. Elegant lighting, neat table settings, and a sophisticated atmosphere—perfect for dressing up and enjoying a fancy meal, no awkwardness at all 😌. Food and drinks didn’t disappoint either 🍷! The steak was cooked to our desired doneness, juicy and tender with a rich flavor 🥩, and the accompanying sides were well-matched. The wine list had a good selection, and the sommelier was happy to recommend pairings that complemented our dishes. What’s more, they thoughtfully split our two main courses into separate plates for us 🥢—no need to struggle with dividing food ourselves, super considerate! After the meal, they even sent us a complimentary dessert 🍰—sweet but not cloying, the perfect end to the meal. And they offered discounted parking 🅿️, which was a nice surprise! Who would have thought the parking lot in downtown Seattle would be cleaner and safer than expected xs 😂—way better than the messy downtown parking lots I’m used to! 📝 Summary: I highly recommend The Capital Grille as a restaurant for special days (anniversaries, birthdays, etc.) 🎉. Its service and experience are quite formulaic—you can basically guess the process—but it’s executed so well that you’ll feel comfortable throughout the meal. No mistakes, no surprises, just steady happiness 😌.
