🏂⛷️ Ski Showdown: Salt Lake City’s Ikon Resorts Reviewed 🏔️
Here’s my take on Brighton, Snowbasin, and Snowbird (RIP Alta/Deer Valley—snowboarders can’t win ‘em all 🛹). Missed Solitude this trip, but let’s dive in: 🌞 PSA: Salt Lake’s been serving BLUEBIRD SKIES 🦋 for weeks—postcard views of the Wasatch Range! But the snowpack’s thinning… crunch crunch goes my board over icy bumps. 😬 Brighton ⛷️ ✅ Pros: Scenery Queen 👑: Gorgeous views (my fave of the trio!). All Levels Welcome: From groomers to steeps. Solitude Link: Ski/ride between resorts via the Great Western lift! 🚡 Double the terrain, unlimited access! ❌ Cons: Tiny Resort: Limited lifts + crowds (though linking with Solitude fixes this 😉). Parking Hell: Weekend parking = chaos + $$$ fees. Snowbasin 🚡 ✅ Pros: 2034 Olympic Vibes 🏅: My personal favorite! Massive Terrain: 2000+ ft vertical tram rides = less waiting, more shredding! Tree Jibbing: Post-tram powder stashes = 🔥. Luxury Lodges: Old-money elegance 💎. Free Parking: Huge lots, zero stress! 🚗 ❌ Cons: Repetitive Views: Three peaks, but they… kinda look alike? 🤷♂️ Snowbird 🦅 ✅ Pros: Hardcore Heaven: Steeps, chutes, and the iconic Mineral Basin 🌋. Aesthetic AF: Mine cart tram + cliff views = Instagram gold. ❌ Cons: Parking Lottery: After 9:30 AM? Good luck finding a spot. Expert-Biased: Most runs are black/double-black. Blue runs = sketchy catwalks over cliffs. 😱 Newbies: tread lightly! Final Thoughts Salt Lake’s winter = chef’s kiss 👌. Surrounded by peaks, endless turns… I’ll be back! ❄️ #SkiLife #SaltLakeCity #SkiUtah 🏂
