π½οΈ Southern California Food Map | LA β Irvine β San Diego Munchies πΊ
From San Diego to Irvine to the heart of LA β hereβs my tasty trail across SoCal: π―π΅ San Diego β Izakaya Sakura A solid Japanese spot with great vibes and fresh ingredients! Loved the unagi don, uni sushi, grilled beef tongue, salmon sashimi, and rainbow roll. The Japanese waitress was super sweet β an all-around warm experience. π Irvine β Momo Toast Tried both Thai milk tea and matcha jasmine stuffed toasts β preferred the Thai tea! The bread has great texture, especially when chilled β chewy with a cool, creamy center. Will definitely buy again! πͺ Ktown β Brown Bag Cookie My fave: blueberry cream cheese scone (I secretly scoop out all the cream inside π) They have canelΓ© in original, matcha, and Earl Grey β tons of sweet options! Their Basque cheesecake was just okay though. π Delicious Food Corner Classic comfort food β their char siu (BBQ pork) and pineapple buns are my go-to. Simple, satisfying, never gets old. π Arcadia Mall β Tai Er Sauerkraut Fish & Hattendo Tai Erβs fish soup is delicious β I always add vermicelli. The broth is light and refreshing! Their mapo tofu is perfect over rice. Also grabbed a matcha cream bun from Hattendo β soft and delicate, but at $4.50 each, itβs gone in two bites π π‘ Monterey Park β Nuo Handmade My personal favorite mochi stand! The salted egg yolk & pork floss flavor is a repeat order. Taro, cheese, black sesame, matcha β all amazing, no bad choices! Their new raw chocolate is perfectly balanced β not too sweet, not too bitter. Absolutely obsessed! SoCal, you never run out of delicious surprises. Canβt wait to eat my way back through! ππ¨ #SoCalEats #LAFoodGuide #IrvineEats #SanDiegoFood #IzakayaSakura #MomoToast
