♠️ The National Gallery, UK — Van Gogh: Poet and Lover
Finally made it to the London 🏛️ National Gallery with friends to pay homage to the Van Gogh exhibition! The atmosphere in the exhibition halls is perfectly designed, with each room’s color scheme and 🖼️ art selection harmoniously unified. The carefully chosen sequence of works and the arrangement of lighting guide us step by step into Van Gogh’s emotional universe. Even those not so sensitive to art can feel the intense atmosphere unique to 🎨 art! The pieces that touched me the most were “Starry Night Over the Rhone” 🌃 and “Sunflowers” 🌻. With the audio guide, I gained a deeper understanding of each work. It was as if I could see Van Gogh standing on the other side of the river, looking back at the city lights, combining the twinkling of the stars with the reflection of the city lights, filling the entire painting with vitality. If you look closely, you’ll even notice a couple holding hands in the painting, they are in the dark of night, yet they are bathed in the golden light, bringing a bit of warmth and poetry to the scene. The sunflowers in the painting seem to have simple lines and composition, but upon closer observation, you’ll discover that each sunflower is unique, with distinctly different brushstrokes and slight variations in color, giving each sunflower its own character and vitality. I feel that Van Gogh’s works bring a sense of pure art. 🌟 Make sure to book your tickets in advance! Though they’re hard to come by now, you can reach out to me; I have connections, you know 😉 ✨ It’s less crowded at noon on regular days.
