🏛️ Ultimate 2-Day Kansas City Itinerary | Art, BBQ & History! 🍖
🚗 Stop on the Way: Passed through Topeka, KS (the state capital) on the drive from Denver. Saw the "world’s largest Russian nesting doll" and a giant bird sculpture 🐦… honestly, not worth getting out of the car for. 15 mins of driving around was more than enough. The sculptures really can’t compare to what we have in Chinese parks 😅 📅 DAY 1 ❤️ Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art 🖼️ Spent over 3 hours here—MOST impressive museum I’ve ever been to! Houses incredible collections from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Egypt 🗿 This museum single-handedly adds deep cultural charm to Kansas City (which otherwise feels a bit plain and has confusing roads 😵) ❤️ Jack Stack Barbecue 🍖 5-min drive from the museum, right near a shopping street Seriously delicious BBQ + great atmosphere! A MUST in KC 🔥 After eating, explore the walkable area with lots of shops and boutiques 🛍️ 📅 DAY 2 ❤️ National WWI Museum and Memorial ⚔️ $18 per person, displays weapons and exhibits from the war Still interesting, but not as captivating as the art museum The memorial tower offers great city views! ❤️ Union Station 🚉 Walkable from the memorial Historic train station with shops and a science museum—nice for photos, but skippable if short on time 📸 ✅ Final Thoughts: Kansas City’s BBQ and museum are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! The road system is a bit confusing, but everything else is perfect 👌 #KansasCity #TravelUSA #MuseumLover #BBQTour #USATrip #TravelGuide
