Woke up late on this gorgeous long weekend and hit the road! 🚗💨 Just over 1 hour to... 📍Orillia First Stop: Quiet town (post-pandemic blues? Or always this sleepy?) but spotted more Porsches 911 than people! 😂 🍽️ Lakeside Eats: • Studabakers & Chachu's Orillia • Bakes by the Lake - killer brunch spot! • The Lone Wolf Cafe - spacious coffee haunt • Mariposa Market (cute jams & desserts, but skipped the extra-sweet cakes 🍰) 😭 Missed out: Bounty Fish & Chips (closed!) 🏺 Hidden Treasure Alert! Drove north to Antique Mall on 11 North - MASSIVE space with vintage teacups that'll make your grandma jealous! (Why can't Toronto have these gems?) 🚂 Instagram Famous Spot: The train-car Starbucks! Unique photo op + kid-friendly. BUT... ✨ REAL STAR OF THE SHOW: Webers Burger (since 1963!) 🍔 • Juicy triple-patty cheeseburger that made me go back for seconds! • Lightning-fast service (army of staff!) • Even their fries were perfection • Genius: Built a pedestrian bridge for highway access! • Sorry Starbucks - you're just riding Webers' coattails! 😏 🐟 Final Stop: Barrie • Hit Reel Em In Fish & Chips (must-try!) • Nice lakeside stroll... but downtown had more homeless folks than bar-hoppers 🌞 Summer Verdict: Burgers + fish & chips = pure happiness!
