๐Ÿœ๏ธ Utah Food Guide: Best Eats in Moab & Salt Lake City ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

Continuing my Utah road trip series! Iโ€™ve shared several national park guides โ€” both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park are absolutely breathtaking ๐Ÿคฉ and located near Moab, the most famous tourist town in eastern Utah. Moab has everything: food, gas, supermarkets, and hotels! We flew from San Francisco to Salt Lake City, drove to Moab, and then back โ€” hereโ€™s what we ate over four days! ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ“Œ Since we spent most days exploring the parks, we kept breakfast simple (either at the hotel or fast food), but dinners were our chance to enjoy proper Western meals! ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐ŸŒŸ Day 1 โ€“ Dinner in Moab In winter, you crave warm Asian food! We tried Arches Thai: ๐Ÿฆ† Duck salad was refreshing ๐Ÿฒ Tom Yum soup โ€” perfect for winter! Warm and comforting ๐Ÿค Seafood noodle soup was flavorful and loaded with ingredients ๐Ÿ Pineapple fried rice didnโ€™t come in a pineapple, but tasted great Pad Thai was too sweet โ€” not our favorite ๐Ÿ’ธ Mandatory 20% tip. A bit pricey but worth it given the remote location! ๐ŸŒŸ Day 2 โ€“ BBQ Night near Moab We went to Spitfire Smokehouse, the #2 rated American BBQ joint in the area โ€” a must-try in the West! ๐Ÿฅฉ Brisket was tender and juicy (a bit fatty but so good!) Ribs were delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹ Chicken was just okay They also serve sausages, pork, wings, and have a full bar! Great hearty meal after a long day on the road. Fair prices! ๐ŸŒŸ Day 3 โ€“ Lunch near Arches National Park We ate at Antica Forma, an Italian restaurant: ๐Ÿ• Pizza and pasta never disappoint Their signature Antica Forma pizza with Spanish ham was a highlight ๐Ÿ† Dessert was average ๐ŸŒŸ Day 4 โ€“ Back to Salt Lake City Chinatown in SLC is a real food hub โ€” complete with a traditional archway and a well-stocked Asian supermarket (maybe even nicer than some in the Bay!). ๐Ÿฎ ๐Ÿง‹ Tiger Sugar is right at the entrance โ€” Iโ€™m not a bubble tea person, so no comment ๐Ÿง Meet Fresh is here too โ€” surprising and awesome! ๐Ÿœ First meal: One More Noodle House โ€” a variety of Chinese noodles. As a Beijing native, I loved the braised pork intestine noodles โ€” a must-order! So satisfying! ๐Ÿฒ Second meal: Hero Hot Pot before leaving โ€” $25 dinner AYCE. Good selection of meat and veggies (extra for duck blood). Not as good as Bay Area hot pot, but probably the best in Utah! ๐Ÿ’ฐ Food prices in Salt Lake City are lower than in Moab, and Utah overall is much cheaper than California. The food may not be mind-blowing, but it definitely hits the spot for travelers!
