🍽️ Weekend Food Tour in Ithaca – Where to Eat with Friends!

These two weeks I tried two great Western restaurants – here’s the rundown: 🇫🇷 Le Café Cent-Dix ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A cozy and atmospheric spot, but be prepared to wait! Steak Frites: The fries were amazing 🍟! The steak was flavorful but a bit chewy. Friday Special Duck Breast: Super tender duck 🦆, loved the veggies and sauce underneath. Braised Veal Breast: Okay, but not memorable. Beef Tartare: Good if you like raw beef, but not mind-blowing. Frisée aux Lardons Salad: Unique vinaigrette – tasty! House Bread: Warm and delicious 🥖 Kohlrabi and Pear Salad: 👎 Not a fan – might be a skip. Mocha Walnut Torte: 🍰 MUST ORDER!! Rich and delicious. ⚠️ Overall: Food was good, but service was slow – waited an hour between appetizer and main. Gets busy fast – they opened at 5:30 PM and filled up immediately! 🍹 Simeon’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great for groups and special occasions! Cocktails: Sweet and fun – the peach one in a tall glass was a hit 🍑✨ (perfect if you don’t like strong drinks). Mussels (Vin Blanc): Friends said they’re a must-order every time – generous portion and delicious. Clam Chowder: Loaded with ingredients – we shared among 5 girls. Seafood Pasta (Special): Fresh and al dente – very flavorful! Lobster & Steak: 🦞🥩 Highly recommend! Lobster came with creamy mashed potatoes and greens. Steak (medium rare) was perfect. Fries also great. Salmon: Just okay – served with risotto-like rice. 💺 They take reservations! Even by 6 PM on Friday, it was almost full. The big table by the window on the second floor is perfect for celebrations. Perfect spots for a fancy dinner, slow brunch, or just catching up with friends 🥂 Have you been to either?
