🛍️ What It’s Like to Spend 4 Hours in Regina’s Largest
Today, my friend and I decided to visit the biggest mall in downtown Regina. We arrived at 1:00 pm and had to wait until 5:30 pm to get picked up — which meant we were stuck there for four and a half hours. And I mean literally stuck, because there really isn’t that much to do in this mall. 😅 The streets around the mall felt a bit sketchy — lots of people acting strange, looking out of it… Downtown Regina can be kinda rough. Once inside the mall, it’s calmer. The building has two floors and isn’t huge, but it has a decent mix of stores. Typical high school favorites like Garage, H&M, American Eagle, and Zoo York are here. About 30% of the stores were pretty much empty. To kill time, we went into every store. One spot we couldn’t get enough of was Bath & Body Works — you know, the one with all the scented candles, perfumes, and hand creams. It smells amazing in there… until you get a headache from all the smells lol. 🕯️🤯 After about an hour of browsing, we grabbed food. My friend (a true Westerner) got fries, and I ordered pho from a Thai place — it was delicious! 🍜 We also got bubble tea from Gong Cha. 🧋 Here’s the funny part: my friend had never had bubble tea until I introduced it to her, and now she’s obsessed. But this was the first time she ordered by herself… and she didn’t know she had to ask for pearls. When she got her drink with a thin straw and no pearls, she was so disappointed 😢 She thought all bubble tea came with pearls! She was so upset she didn’t even want to be in the photo. 😂 After eating, we shopped for another hour. Then we got tired and went into a furniture store, where we plopped down on a super comfy couch. 🛋️ The staff, who clearly had no other customers, kept coming over to ask if we needed help. We eventually left out of embarrassment. We also stumbled upon a new claw machine shop — $3 per try! We gave it a shot and failed miserably. What a rip-off. 🕹️🙄 All in all, this mall is okay for a one-time visit, but it gets boring quickly. Still, for a small city like Regina, I’m just glad we have a mall like this. 🤷♀️ #Regina #MallLife #BubbleTea #ShoppingDiaries #CanadianLife #ClawMachineFail #Foodie #GongCha #JustSmallTownThings
