❄️ Winter Trek to Angelus Hut, New Zealand ❄️

🌤️ Check the weather forecast! In July, temperatures often drop to around -2°C 🥶, but if you pick a sunny day, the sunshine makes the cold much more bearable 😎☀️. 🥾 Use crampons (ice grips)! With crampons, you can walk safely over snow and icy rocks—it feels like walking on flat ground! 🚶♀️❄️ 😎 Wear sunglasses! The snow reflects strong sunlight ⚠️—sunglasses are a must to protect your eyes 👀. ⏱️ Starting from Robert Car Park, follow the ridge trail all the way to Angelus Hut. The official estimated hiking time is 6 hours 🕔. I’m not a very fast hiker, and it took me about 6 hours too! 🌙 If you're not staying overnight at the hut and plan to return the same way, start early—around 6-7 AM 🕕 . The round trip takes roughly 12 hours. Avoid descending after dark ❄️🌬️, as temperatures drop quickly and winds become very strong. Perfect adventure for experienced hikers who love snowscapes 🎒🧤!
