🏛️Grad Trip | Encountering Einstein's Brain Slice in Philadelphia

Actually, I visited City Hall + Mütter Museum + Philadelphia Museum of Art 🎨🏛️ 1️⃣ City Hall 🏛️📸 City Hall is just one building, but the entrance makes for great photo ops. There's a fountain where kids were splashing around—super cute! 💦👶 Later, I strolled from City Hall to the Mütter Museum, a 20-minute walk away. 🚶‍♀️🗺️ 2️⃣ Mütter Museum 🏥🔍 🎫 Ticket Prices: 20foradults,15 for students (The cashier asked if I was a student and if I had a student ID. I showed her my Alipay student verification—haha, lucky it was a Chinese lady who gave me the student discount!) 🎫😄 The museum isn't huge, just two floors, and it closes at 5 PM. I went in at 4 PM, and an hour was just right. ⏰👌 From the pics, you can tell it's a medical museum. Out of respect for the specimens' owners, photography isn't allowed ❌📸. On the first floor, the highlights were Einstein's brain slice and a whole wall of skulls ☠️ (hundreds, by my guess), each labeled with the owner's name and cause of death—quite stunning (shocking). 🧠🏛️ The museum staff even told me about Einstein's brain slice, saying this area (pointing to a normal brain) was 15% larger than average. 🤯 In the basement, there were rare patient specimens, like clubfoot and conjoined twins, as well as fetal specimens ranging from two to nine months old. 😭👶 It makes you realize how miraculous life is and how lucky you are to be a healthy, normal person. 🙏✨ 3️⃣ Philadelphia Museum of Art 🎨🖼️ 🎫 Ticket Prices: 30foradults,20 for students This time, the cashier wasn't Chinese, but they didn't check our IDs. They just asked if we were students and gave us the student tickets. 🎫😅 The museum is massive! It took me two and a half hours to barely scratch the surface. ⏳🏛️ The first floor is dedicated to American art. 🇺🇸🎨 The second floor features modern European art, where you can see genuine Van Gogh and Monet masterpieces!! 🖼️🎨 The Impressionist gallery is almost entirely Monet's—up close, his brushstrokes are truly magical. 😭🖌️ The third floor houses medieval European and Asian art. The exhibit layouts are immersive and quite thoughtful. 🏰🗿 I saw some Chinese artifacts, though not many. 🇨🇳🏺 Finally, the parking fee was $40—ouch, parking in the U.S. is really expensive! 🚗💸 Anyway, I found both museums fascinating. Maybe I'll cut a vlog one day to make the experience more vivid! 🎥👀 #TravelSnippets #GradTrip #USA 🇺🇸🎓
