🇨🇦 6-Day Solo Trip to Montreal! 🧘🏻‍♀️

I ventured alone into the French-speaking area for 6 days—had such a deep experience that I’ll definitely be back!! Took the 747 bus straight from the airport to the hotel. Gotta say, the metro here is way more convenient than SkyTrain! 📍 Stayed at Hotel Monville! My room was huge—maybe because it was a corner room? Way bigger than expected! Best part: the bathroom lighting was perfect for makeup 💄, and the full-length mirror had great lighting too! The location was also ideal—right near the Underground City and Crew Café. Just step outside, turn left, and you’re at the metro. Super convenient! 📍 Crew Café: Went mainly for photos—the food didn’t look too appealing 😅. Mornings are less crowded. By afternoon, it’s packed with tour groups. Want a clean shot? Go around 9 AM! My first photo was taken there with nobody around. 📍 Fine Arts Museum: A must-visit! 🎨 Student tickets are $16. It’s enormous—I spent 3 hours there and still didn’t see everything! Six floors of art. Go early—don’t underestimate the size! 📍 St. Joseph’s Oratory: Perfect for sunset and city views! ☀️ Pick a sunny day though—I went on a cloudy one and froze on the rooftop 😂. Still, the view was worth it! Pro tip: Tell your Uber driver to drop you at the top—otherwise, you’ll have to hike up! 📍 Botanical Garden: Loved it so much I made a whole post about it! 🌿 📍 Mile End: The best area for shopping! 🛍️ It’s like the trendy boulevards of Shanghai—everything you could want! Lots of thrift stores and unique shops. The famous fountain (currently dry) is nearby—a nice spot to sit and relax. 📍 SSENSE: Not much to see in-store if you don’t book ahead. 📍 Old Port: Great for aimless walks and small boutiques. The women’s bathroom in the mall has the best Ferris wheel view! 🎡 📍 Barbie Expo: Stumbled upon this free exhibition in downtown! 🎀 Search "Barbie Expo" on Google Maps. So fun—my favorite part was the Barbie catwalk! 📍 Chinatown: Passed by it often but didn’t feel the need to explore—coming from Vancouver, it didn’t stand out.
