🇨🇦 A Day in Downtown Calgary
On the way to Banff, I spent a day in Calgary and found the city much more interesting than I expected! Compared to Vancouver with its beaches and ocean vibes, Calgary feels much drier, and even its most bustling areas have a more low-key, rustic charm. 🏙️🌵 🗼 The Calgary Tower is visible from afar — a true landmark. For $20, you can go up to the top and enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the city. Part of the floor is made of glass… standing on it is not for the faint of heart! 😅 ⚪️ The Wonderland Sculpture (that giant white human face) is another iconic spot. Always full of people taking photos! 📸 🏬 Apparently, temperatures in Calgary can drop to -40°C in winter ❄️, so all the buildings are connected by indoor skywalks on the second floor — how smart! 🚏 The C-Train has long red trains that look totally different from Vancouver’s SkyTrain! If it’s your first time here, it’s definitely worth taking some time to soak up the unique atmosphere of Cowtown! 🤠🎬 #Calgary #CityWalk #BanffNationalPark
