🇨🇦 Day 3: Nova Scotia → Halifax
Finally made it to the legendary Halifax! 🌫️ Peggy’s Cove The fog was heavy, but the coastal village was still charming 🏡. Hoping to return for a proper road trip along the coastline someday! 🚗💨 🏙️ Halifax Downtown A blend of busy professionals and tourists—this small city feels vibrant and bustling! Took the Harbour Queen I boat tour around Georges Island 🚢. Learned about local history from the guide—so fascinating! 🏛️ Maritime Museum Exhibits about the Titanic’s connection to Halifax (many victims were buried here) and the devastating Halifax Explosion 💥. So much history packed into one place! 🛃 Pier 21 Explored Canada’s immigration history 🧳. Did you know? European immigrants often arrived here, while Chinese immigrants mostly entered through Vancouver. Non-Indigenous settlement began after the 1600s 🗺️. French settlers dominated the 18th century, followed by the British in the 19th century. Chinese immigrants arrived in larger numbers around 1880 to help build railways 🚂. ❤️ Final Thoughts I absolutely adore Halifax—a city rich with stories and charm! ✨ With its own airport ✈️, it’s easy to fly in for museum hopping + seaside relaxation 🌊. #Halifax #NovaScotia #ExploreCanada #TravelDiary #HistoryLover #CoastalVibes 🍁📸
