🇨🇦 Halifax 100 Restaurant Challenge: 2/100
Today we visited Tribute Food.Wine.Fire, a highly-rated waterfront restaurant (next to Aisa) with an average cost of $100+ per person. Here’s the honest review! 🪑 Ambience Cozy, intimate, and beautifully designed! The open kitchen lets you watch chefs handcraft pasta—a nice touch for foodies 👨🍳✨. 🍽️ What We Ordered (We weren’t planning to get full—had dinner at home 😉) 1️⃣ Beef Tenderloin ($48) Medium rare, tender, perfectly cooked 🔥 But: The savory oat porridge side might be divisive—it’s unique! Only 2 slices of beef—great flavor but small portions. 2️⃣ Halibut ($44) Even better than the steak! 🐟 Flaky fish with layered flavors + a tangy rhubarb-tomato sauce. The veggie base tasted like minced garlicky kale—yum! 🍫 Dessert & Service Waited 50 mins for food—server apologized and comped the entire main course! We felt guilty 😅, so we ordered dessert and tipped generously. Triple Chocolate Brownie ($16): A must-try! Lightly fried outer layer, rich brownie inside, and assorted chocolate bits. Perfect for sharing (skip if you hate sweets). 🌟 Verdict ✔️ Highlights: Creative dishes, handmade pasta, exceptional service. ✔️ Portions: Small—expect to spend $100+/person for a full meal + drinks. ✔️ Ideal for: Special occasions or impressing guests (not for hearty eaters). #HalifaxEats #FineDining #FoodReview #TributeRestaurant #ExploreHalifax 🍷🍴
