🇨🇦 Montreal's Most Anticipated New Restaurant: Limbo
The hottest new spot in MTL that all my chef friends have been raving about! While it didn't completely blow me away (maybe my expectations were too high?), Limbo definitely delivers a solid dining experience with some standout dishes. The Highlights 🍽️ 🐑 Lamb Tartare with Peas - Zero gaminess, just buttery-soft lamb + sweet peas. A refreshing twist on tartare! 🥕 Radish with Smoked Gribiche - Crunchy fresh radishes, but the egg sauce was too smoky for me (others loved it though!). 🐚 Scallop with Cucumber-Herb Sauce - Jelly-like texture, bright sauce—just wish the scallop was sweeter. 🐦 Guinea Fowl with Morels - Crispy skin + earthy mushrooms in a cheesy cream sauce. (Breast was a tad dry.) 🌱 Asparagus with Oyster Sauce - Good, not groundbreaking. The sauce carried it. 🐟 Halibut with Turnip - Surprise hit! Silky fish + tender turnips—even non-fish-lovers will enjoy. 🐖 Pork Chop with Zucchini - The BEST dish! Rich, savory, with melt-in-your-mouth cured meat sauce. (Just leaner than expected.) ☕ Hazelnut Mille-Feuille - Layers of perfection: crisp pastry + airy coffee cream. 🍸 Cocktails were decent—the asparagus-chartreuse sorbet drink was weirdly addictive! Vibe Check ✔ Bright, airy space with minimalist chic decor ✔ Great for: Foodie gatherings | Date nights | Trying the "next big thing" ✔ Service was attentive but not hovering #MyFoodDiary #Montreal #MontrealLife #MontrealEats #MontrealFoodie #WhatToEat #WeekendFoodAdventures
