🇨🇦 Niagara Falls Travel Guide: Budget-Friendly, Super Value Japanese

This year marks my third trip to Niagara—let’s be real, the area around Toronto can get pretty boring, but Niagara Falls and its towns are that shine year-round, no matter the season! 🌿❄️☀️ Every time I visit, the big question is always “what to eat?” Today, I’m here to recommend a high-value Japanese restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake that’s totally worth the hype. The restaurant’s called Masaki Sushi, tucked away on the edge of the town. Bonus: there’s a dedicated parking lot behind it, so no stress about finding a spot 🚗! Let’s talk prices—they’re incredibly reasonable. We ordered 3 dishes and 1 dessert, and here’s the breakdown: 1️⃣ First up: Japanese beef curry rice with 3 tempura shrimp 🍤. The curry sauce, mixed with rice, tender beef, and crispy tempura? One bite, and my taste buds did a happy dance! The layers of flavor were amazing—creamy curry, fluffy rice, melt-in-your-mouth beef, and that satisfying crunch from the tempura. Best part? This hearty portion only cost 22 CAD. What a steal! 2️⃣ Next, a 12-piece sashimi set, which comes with 12 slices of sashimi and a side of rice. (P.S. The server actually gave us an extra piece—13 in total! 🥳) The sashimi was super fresh, nicely plated, and all for just 26 CAD. Way cheaper than most non-buffet sushi spots—definitely a win. 3️⃣ We also splurged a little on an A5 wagyu and seafood platter. It’s the priciest item we got at 85 CAD, but so worth it. It came with 6 slices of wagyu, 4 scallops, 2 shrimp, and 1 mussel. That wagyu fat? Pure bliss in every bite—melty, rich, and totally satisfying 😋. 4️⃣ Even though we were stuffed, dessert always gets a pass (we’ve got a second stomach for it, right? 😜). The daily dessert isn’t on the menu, so you have to ask the server what’s available. We went with matcha cheesecake, and it was delicious—creamy, with that perfect matcha bitterness. Plus, it was only 6.5 CAD! I snapped a photo of part of the menu for reference. Before tip, the total was around 150 CAD. If you skip the wagyu, you can easily eat well here for 20-30 CAD per person. This budget-friendly gem is a must-try during your trip—it’ll make any foodie’s day! P.S. If you’ve been here before, drop your favorite dishes in the comments—I need recommendations for my next visit! #FoodCollector #HiddenGemRestaurant #FollowMeToEat #TorontoDayTrips #Travel #JapaneseFood #Wagyu
