Toronto💯 A Must-Visit Waterfall Winery in Your Lifetime, Like a Peach
"Visiting a Niagara wine estate to taste a glass of ice wine" has long been on my Canadian 🇨🇦 bucket list. Finally, this wish came true in the early winter of this year. There are numerous wineries near the falls, and I chose the long-admired Pellar Estate Winery. With over 2,000 Google reviews and being a large winery with more than 50 years of history... I was surprised that not many Chinese people have shared about it, but my intuition told me there were hidden surprises here, so I set off without hesitation. 👉🏻 Peller Estate Winery and Restaurant 📍 290 John St E, Niagara-on-the-Lake It's a huge and the most historic top-level winery. There are several entrances; when you drive in, there are endless grapevines on both sides. The building is deep inside, making you feel like stepping into a peach blossom spring far from the world 🌿. Walking into the winery lobby, I was surprised by the number of visitors. What was even more surprising was that from dining to the end of the winery tour, I didn't see a single group of Asians! Most foreigners here seem to know a lot about wine 🍷. With so many "living signs" here, I was truly impressed 👍🏻. 👉🏻 Entering the Dining Room to Taste Exclusive Dishes by Top Chefs We enjoyed a six-course seasonal special meal, and each dish exceeded expectations, comparable to any top restaurant in downtown Toronto ✨. The lobster truffle cream pasta, in particular, is (without exaggeration) the best pasta of my life 💯. The Cap steak and honey-roasted quail baked rice, these two main courses are rare treats, exquisite and beautiful, reaching the pinnacle of elegance. The most amazing part is that each dish is paired with a unique glass of wine from the winery, ranging from Private Reserve to Signature Series. Starting with a refreshing and slightly sweet champagne to awaken the taste buds, followed by a sweet and sour, silky Riesling and a golden, fruity Chardonnay... The main courses are paired with two glasses: Cabernet Franc 2019 and Gamay Noir 2020. With bright cherry red colors, rich textures, natural sweetness and sourness without any bitterness 👍🏻, even someone like me who doesn't love red wine could drink it happily. Finally, accompanying the dessert is the 2019 Ice Wine Cabernet Franc. Could there be such delicious wine? I can't believe that natural brewing can have such sweetness, as if countless ice grapes are dancing on the tip of the tongue 🍇. After eating and drinking to our hearts' content, we started the Greatest Winery Tour. During the tour, we tasted three more glasses of wine, and got to see the underground wine cellars, outdoor vineyards, and Niagara's only igloo-like ice wine lounge. It was a profound experience of Canadian 🇨🇦 wine and ice wine culture. Highly recommended must-buys ‼️ Signature Series Riesling 2019 Icewine 2019 This was truly a super dreamy day trip! #TorontoLife #TorontoFood #MiddleSchoolSecondGirlExplores #Winery #Lesser-KnownTravelDestinations #DrinkingDaily 🍷
