🇨🇦 Toronto|The Most Low-Key Yet Luxurious Colorful Museum‼️
I discovered a hidden gem of a museum—truly one-of-a-kind! 😆 1️⃣ Why "low-key"? Because from the outside, it looks just like a big house—no flashy signs or grand entrance. 🏡 The door stays shut, and if I hadn’t searched it up online, I’d have walked right past it! 2️⃣ Why "luxurious"? This mansion once belonged to the Austin family—aka the founders of TD Bank! 🏦💵 (Yeah, that level of wealth.) Three floors of opulence: the moment you step in, you’re greeted by murals, sculptures, and leather-clad walls—pure grandeur. ✨ 3️⃣ Why "unique"? It’s a time capsule of the 1900s! 🕰️ Every room preserves the era’s aesthetics, down to the tiniest details. Even the kitchen’s cakes are baked using century-old recipes—talk about dedication! 🍰 4️⃣ My favorite room? The sunroom greenhouse! 🌿☀️ With 280-degree glass walls, sunlight floods in, and lush plants fill every corner—absolutely magical. But… ask the staff about its little secret—it’ll hit you right in the feels. 😢 (No spoilers!) 5️⃣ Bonus: During Christmas, the whole house is decked out in festive decor—extra enchanting! 🎄❤️ Everyone knows Casa Loma next door, but this museum is the real underrated star. Free admission until January—come and go as you please! 🆓 If you want a guided tour, check their website for timings. 📍 Spadina Museum, 285 Spadina Rd (Fun fact: It’s pronounced "Spa-DEE-na" 😂 TIL!) #Toronto #TorontoLife #MuseumHunt #HiddenToronto #WeekendVibes #ExploreTO #TorontoPhotography
