Please bring back the Spadina Strawberry Festival and the Spadina Gatsby Party. Maybe someone can arrange it? It would make a lot of money for the grounds too since there would be admission tickets. If you do the Gatsby party please be extravagant and have the house open til like morning light. That would be SO COOL to have an all night party at Spadina on the grass. It would blow up on social media too. The Strawberry Festival - bring huge buckets of strawberries from the local farms and hire volunteers to make huge chantilly strawberry cakes (from the old Spadina recipe book) - I was a volunteer 20 years ago for summer camp, and was there for five years so I remember that there was a recipe book for baked goods, ice cream (by hand), scones, cakes etc. at the Spadina Museum. Maybe the owners could consider this? Also having an all night Gatsby party would be DOPE. Music and dancing from 1pm in the afternoon til the next day until 8am 🤪 and also allow music to be played all night long in the garden and make it an adult 18+ semi-clubbing event where they could open the corridors and apple orchard - it could happen! Drinking on the lawn and dancing just like the 1920s. Make it scandalous! But as for the Strawberry festival it could be kept more a family event.. but instead of making it just for kids you should make the strawberry festival about cake tasting and getting dressed up.
I have another idea - Bring back the MOTHER'S DAY HIGH TEA!!! You guys used to have an exclusive Mother's Day reservations only high tea.. it used to be all things miraculous at the Spadina Museum. If only you guys brought back the charm and history of the past that has been currently seemingly erased.
Also any other of my fellow volunteers and coworkers from 1990's-2000's you should also write a review like mine to brainstorm ideas for these events and bring back the classic Gatsby parties, Mother's Day High Tea, Strawberry Festivals and more.
This museum was POPPIN' in 2000's.
Also you should have romantic ball dances and debutante balls like Austrian, Swiss, English, French and German had in the 1950's and have young men and women dance with each other, and also adults dance like an ADULT PROM!!!!! Complete with dancing allowed in the gardens because that should be allowed with nature as they did in the scandalous '20s. It should be a whole vibe....

Spadina Museum offers several tours of the house during the week along with many other various AMAZING events suck as 1) The Roaring 20s Garden Gathering and the Orchard Apple Event.
Update: Roaring 20s Garden Event. Splendid!
July 21st, Spadina Museum held their The Roaring 20s Garden Party event. This event was on hold due to the COVID lockdown. It was such an amazing treat to see it come back and take part in it.
It was a chance for all of us to wear 20s enthusiasts to get dressed up to the T in our favorite swanky 20s outfit.
It was a smash hit.
Loved the Roaring 20s band that played some amazing music!
The Wintergarten Orchestra Ben Harvey’s Ornamentals
How amazing it is to roam through the grounds and the house all dressed up in what the Austin's and their guests would be more likely wearing as well.
Great live band that played some of the top songs from the 20s.
Can't wait again next year to travel back in time to my favorite period!
It makes stepping back into time feel that much real.
What a splendid trip back into time, and I didn't even need a Time Machine.
Spadina House is everything you would imagine. A sacred period in time preserved & honored.
The house is in magnificent shape. It's history, rich, and vibrant. The grounds of the house are just breathtaking.
A lovely place to just sit and enjoy the greenery and all of the smashing parties, you know that the owners threw back when.
The tour guides are especially friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
This is one tour and museum. I will be going back over and over again. There is no way you can ever tire of this gorgeous place...

There were different booths for various products such as the apples, honey soaps, ice cream etc.
The museum only had the ground floor open on this first day of fall. The staff said other floors and guided tours will be available other days. The museum has a long history that I highly recommend to people who enjoy knowing the historical buildings and stories shall...
