๐จ๐ฆ Victoria & Nanaimo | What I Ate in 4 Meals ๐ฝ๏ธ
(The 4th meal was devoured too hungrily for photos ๐) 1๏ธโฃ Victoria Pocha (Korean) As a huge Korean food lover, Iโve tried many places โ but their pork hock (jokbal) is THE BEST Iโve ever had! ๐โจ Way better than any K-town spot in Coquitlam. Highly, highly recommend! 2๏ธโฃ Kuma Noodle Japan (near UVic) Known as a student canteen ๐ They serve ramen, but their rice bowls (don) are incredible โ even better than the ramen! Probably the best don Iโve ever tasted. The owner is a sweet Japanese grandma ๐ต๐ฑ โ basic English is okay, but deeper chats need translation (or Japanese skills!). 3๏ธโฃ Lighthouse Bistro & Pub (Nanaimo) Wanted to dig for oysters but had no time/tools ๐ฆช๐ So we settled for restaurant oysters ($3.99 each โ a bit pricey but tasty!). Also tried fried chicken, mussels, and cod tacos โ the mussels and tacos were delicious! ๐ฎ 4๏ธโฃ Uni Modern Japanese Restaurant We were starving and forgot to take photos ๐ฃโก Ordered sushi, pineapple beef skewers, and wontons. Sushi was okay (rice fell apart easily), but the fish was fresh. Pineapple beef skewers were average, wontons were decent. Edible, but wouldnโt go back. Also snacked on treats brought from Vancouver + fast food ๐๐ซ #CanadaLife #VancouverIsland #VictoriaEats #NanaimoFood #RichmondBC #FoodReview ๐๐ฆช๐
