🇨🇦 Victoria Island | Hidden Gem #2 · Beacon Hill Park
Canada | Victoria | A New Park Every Week #2 | Beacon Hill Park Living in Canada, every weekend I’m thinking about where to explore next. Opened Google Maps and realized Victoria has so many parks — forests, coastlines, mountains, gardens… so I decided to visit them one by one! Today’s choice: Beacon Hill Park on the west coast. Full of wild animals, long coastal trails, and if you love dogs, the off-leash dog park here unlocks hidden fun! 🐾 📍 Location: Beacon Hill Park (closest bus stop: May at Cook) ⭐ Highlights: North American park landscapes ⛲️, adorable animals 🦆, long coastline 🏕, dog park 🐶, ocean sunsets 🌅 Must-Visit Spots: Stone Bridge – Built in 1889 as part of John Blair’s landscape design for the park. 🏛️ Goodacre Lake – A man-made lake from the same era, home to flocks of green-headed ducks. 🦆 Sometimes they even line up along the shore! Wildlife Encounters – The park is filled with wild ducks, squirrels, and seagulls. Bring snacks to feed them (responsibly!). There’s also a petting farm with alpacas and goats, but it was closed when we went. 🦙🐐 Coastal Trail & Pier – At the end of the park, a long coastal trail leads to a pier with 280-degree views. Perfect for sunset watching! 🌄 Dog Park – An off-leash area where dogs can run wild and free. 🐕🦺 Seaside Relaxation – Follow the path next to the pier down to the shore. Sit on weathered logs and listen to the waves — pure bliss! 🪵🌊 #HiddenGems #CanadaTravel #CanadianParks #TravelGuide #VictoriaBC #BeaconHillPark #WestCoastVibes 🍁🚶♀️📸
