The term “peacock” 🦚 technically refers only to the males! “Peahens” are the females and peafowl is the proper term for both male and females 🤯. If you’ve ever visited Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, British Columbia… you’ve likely heard and seen many peacocks roaming the park with confidence and comfort around people. In 1981, the blue peafowl species (originally from India), was intentionally introduced to the park. They now freely roam the park and don’t seem to want to wander elsewhere! #victoriabc #vancouverisland #vancouverislandguide #vancouverislandbc #yyj #victoriabc #beaconhill #beaconhillpark #victoriabc #explorevictoria #tourismvictoria #peacocks #peahen #birdwatchers #explorebc #victoriahype #hellobc #explorevancouverisland
