π¨π¦ Whistler Teppanyaki: Teppan Village π³π₯
A long-standing teppanyaki spot in the village run by a Japanese owner with an all-Japanese staff. While 20 years ago half the customers were Japanese tourists, the English-speaking staff here are very friendly! This place is all about the show β skilled performances and a lively atmosphere. Itβs always popular, so be sure to book in advance for dinner! ππ The chefs introduce themselves and put on quite a show β from flaming tricks to impressive knife skills. Everything is professionally executed with that classic Japanese smile and hospitality π The menu is simple: β Steak, salmon, chicken, tiger prawns, scallops, and lobster are all worth ordering. β But avoid the tofu and mushrooms β CAD 34 for two pieces of tofu and a small plate of mushrooms? π¬ Better go for 8 tiger prawns for just CAD 39! π¦ Every teppanyaki set comes with fried rice, miso soup, and a salad. The more you order, the more sides you get β no way to say no! π They didnβt have the sake we wanted, so we brought our own (CAD 20 corkage fee). If itβs on their menu, outside alcohol isnβt allowed β standard rule at most Western and Japanese restaurants. A great choice when you need a break from heavy Western food! π₯’ πΉ Teppan Village π 301 - 4293 Mountain Square, Whistler, BC #Vancouver #VancouverTravel #VancouverFoodie #WhistlerEats #WhistlerFood #Teppanyaki #JapaneseFood #FoodReview #FoodieAdventure #WhistlerBC ποΈπΆ
