A Disappointing Vietnamese Bite: 3/10 Wonât Be Back We ordered spicy noodles, Vietnamese beef pho, fried chicken wings, and sticky rice. Overall? Just âmeh.â Out of all the Vietnamese restaurants Iâve tried, thereâs zero reason to come back here đ. The spicy noodles and beef pho had the same kind of meat, but the noodles in the spicy version were like Jiangxi rice noodlesâonly seasoned with salt, no spice at all. Total false advertising! 𼾠(Or lack thereof.) The beef pho was salty-sweet, but the noodles? Super weirdâtasted almost plastic-y. Not the soft, chewy rice noodles youâd expect in good pho đĽ˘. Donât even get me started on the fried wings. They were terrible. The batter was just plain flour, unevenly coated, and the chicken inside was dryâno juiciness at all. It tasted like they just salted the wings and threw them in the fryer. No flavor, no crunch, no point đ¤. The sticky rice was confusing too. It tasted like Cantonese char siu clay pot rice, but without the crispy bottom crustâand there was this faint, random sour bamboo shoot flavor. So odd đĽ´. Pro tip (if you still go): The menuâs tricky. Dishes labeled with numbers (like 101) are for Western palates. Go for codes like C03âthose are more Asian-friendly. But honestly? Even then, my friends and I all agreed: 3/10. We wonât be returning. It cost around $23 per person, including tax and a 10% tipâway too much for the quality. đ 81 Isabel St, Winnipeg MB #WinnipegFood #Winnipeg #VietnameseFood #Pho #FoodReview
