šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦9Toronto Restaurants I’m SO Afraid Will Close Truly Irreplaceable

Early last year, I shared four editions of ā€œToronto Restaurants I’m Terrified to Loseā€ā€¦ The final one dropped in February 2024, but little did I know—this past year, I discovered even MORE incredible spots I adore and am now scared might disappear 😭 Especially these nine: my ultimate no-substitutions, one-of-a-kind food gems! šŸ“ 1. 1910 La Mexicana The ultimate hidden gem I found! They serve tacos made from meat freshly carved from a whole roasted cow’s head 🐮. Also the only place offering beef eyes and pork stomach—sounds wild, but tastes AMAZING. šŸ“ 2. Taqueria El Pastorcito The ONLY spot in DT where you can get beef tongue tacos four ways šŸ‘…. Honestly, all their tacos are delicious, authentically Mexico City-style, and super affordable. Unbeatable value! šŸ“ 3. Primrose Bagel Co Really good bagel spots are rare in Toronto—and this is hands-down the best artisanal bagel shop (outside chains). No debates allowed 🄯. šŸ“ 4. Dreyfus An upscale French restaurant that changes its menu almost weekly šŸ·. It’s impossible to recommend a must-try dish because it’s always different! Huge respect for the chef’s creativity. šŸ“ 5. Takja Toronto’s answer to upscale aged Korean BBQ! 🄩 Their grilled pork is a must-try (mind-blowing flavor)—couldn’t afford the beef though šŸ˜…. Their house-made banchan is refined, and the seasonal bingsoo (currently matcha red bean!) is a secret highlight. šŸ“ 6. Conejo Negro Specializes in Caribbean, Latin American, and Creole cuisine šŸ¤. Quickly became my top pick for delicious and refined Caribbean food in the city. šŸ“ 7. Barberian’s Steak House A classic steakhouse that’s been open for 66 years! 🄩 The most authentic old-school American-style vibe in Toronto, with a cellar of 10,000+ wines. Absolutely worth a visit. šŸ“ 8. DAM Sandwich Ate it once, haven’t stopped talking about it for a year šŸ˜. They specialize in grilled meat sandwiches (beef, pork, chicken)—huge portions, incredible sauces, and a secret spicy kick that’s unforgettable. šŸ“ 9. Pizzeria Badiali It’s so popular that if it ever closed, Toronto’s pizza lovers would RIOT šŸ•. New York-style slices, nearly 10 flavors—best eaten hot. Pro tip: avoid peak hours! These aren’t just restaurants—they’re culinary institutions. Treasure them, try them, and support them! šŸ’– #TorontoFood #FoodieAdventure
