Wow! I heard about this place from a friend and thought I would check it out on a random Wednesday. The first thing I’ll say is that I’m not really a sandwich person. I don’t really like sandwiches. I’m generally more of a dinner person but I decided to try to sandwich it as I heard good things about it.
I came on Wednesday at about 12. No lineup and very quick service. The staff was incredibly helpful. Very friendly they told me all about their sandwiches and sides. I ended up going with the classic beef brisket sandwich. I decided to add on cheese and I even got extra meat so I got the extra meat on the side so it wouldn’t fall out of the sandwich because I find a lot of sandwiches there. I also got some kimchi. I ended up getting some cornbread as well so that wasn’t the original plan but they had some first need to try for free and it was so good I couldn’t resist.
The first thing I’ll say is that this is probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not a sandwich fan but this was absolutely amazing. The cheese was grilled and became a hard shell. The beef brisket was so soft it literally fell apart if I pulled on it . clean the sandwiches very well together. The bread was fresh and it stayed hard and crispy despite the amazing amount of meat and toppings in it. The sandwich was huge and probably could’ve made two meals for a very cheap price. I got extra meat separately but didn’t even add it to the sandwich as a sandwich was already massive. This was definitely an amazing sandwich and probably the best sandwich I’ve had. I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches if I can pull myself away from eating another beef brisket.
Definitely everyone should go and try this. I can’t even describe how good it was. The last thing I’ll mention is that it took me about 20 minutes to get home with the sandwich in a takeout container and when I got home it was still hot and the bread was still crispy. I love this as often as I take out food gets cold by the time you get home or things like...
Read moreThese are large juicy packed sandwiches and as you see in pics, they don't use typical sub rolls to make them. The flavours are excellent and the customer service is just as great! The guys are super friendly and fast! We had both a Cubano and Brisket. Each had their flavour combinations and were basically equally delicious. If we had to choose, I'd say TRY THE CUBANO!! You've got pulled pork, ham and cheese plus all the veggies, etc... It was our favourite of the two. Also, we tried the cornbread (comes with some sweetened butter) and the "cukes" as well. "Kimchi cukes," as they called them (Spicy marinated cucumber slices.. not too spicy though) were actually surprisingly yummy and addicting! The reason I give this place a 4 is because I had no idea that you have to find parking on the street and it's extremely inconvenient, especially in bad weather. No clear signs if parking is even allowed and the last thing I need is a ticket. Luckily, they didn't have a lineup so it was a quick stop in, pick up and go process, all within 10 minutes or so. They accept cards, debit and cash. Simple menu and it changes every once in a while so check them out if you're looking for a simple yet elevated tasty option. I should mention that it's a very small store so basically enough for people to line-up and pick-up. No room to sit and eat in there. No tables or benches set up outside so by the time we took our sandwiches to an area to eat them, they got on the cold side and weren't as enjoyable as they would be, had we consumed them right away.
Yet, overall, still worth the stop. Taste it and see...
Read moreI've been here a few times. Last time they hooked me up with a campechano... Capachambi? Some kinda big mother with hunks of meat and sauteed whole peppers and junk. I tell you right now, before the Lord I saw angels. The real scary biblical kind made up all of eyes and spinning wheels. The ones whose voices will cause your soul to cave into the infinite void it came from. I questioned reality. The sandwich transported me to another dimension of shapes and vibration. I was energy experiencing the sandwich The meaty, spicy vessel was the ark. Two of every flavor, well ordered marched into my being, the bread somehow holding together under the strain of the sauces and fillings. A strong companion to have while you experience egodeath.
I came to, days later in a haze. Reborn, the red sauce staining my naked body was a placenta. Starved I reached out and in pure ecstasy found the other half of the sandwich. The elation, I could never express, lifted me like Topher across the bridge and as the sandwich touched my lips, even though it was days old; like a channukah miracle it was even better than I'd remembered. Never could I have imagined that I'd chase this dragon and he'd just let me catch him.
The sandwiches are dope, and they travel hella well. 10/5 would eat a...
