🇨🇦Self - driving across Canada 🇨🇦—Regina
University of Regina & Wascana lake We originally planned to take a careful stroll around the university and the adjacent artificial lake.💧💧 🤥However, it happened to be windy and the temperature dropped. We almost got blown away. We could only endure the wind outside for about ten minutes before quickly getting back into the car. 🚘🚖 The ducks in the water could barely swim. 😳😳 😯The overall scale of the campus isn't large, and there's a strong indigenous cultural atmosphere on campus. The name of the artificial lake also seemingly originates from the indigenous people.😍😍 👍👍Saskatchewan Legislative Building Just like the Parliament Building in Ottawa, it can be visited for free. Enter through the main entrance and exit through the side door. 🚪When we went, there was a guided tour every hour.😶 We could only enter the building about ten minutes before the tour started. We weren't allowed to linger in the lobby too early. After entering the building, we needed to go through security checks. 🤨🤨 🤥🤥After that, we wore visiting badges, and a dedicated tour guide led us around. We could take pictures with our phones during the whole process, but video - recording and taking pictures of other people were not allowed. 🥝 We would visit the legislative chamber, and the guide would introduce important parliamentarians and some art exhibitions. 👣❤️ 🌸🌸There are many fossils in the stone materials of the building's exterior walls. You can take a look when visiting. Royal Saskatchewan museum🌻🌻 There's no fixed ticket price. 🌼You can donate according to your mood, with a minimum of $5. On the first floor, there are mainly various dinosaur fossils and explanations of pre - historic animals, as well as indigenous knowledge. 🍊🍎 On the second floor, there are exhibitions of the existing animals and plants in Saskatchewan. (The chicken in the picture is said to be seen in the grassland.👣 👂👂I looked for it all the way but didn't find it. I only saw the specimen in the museum. Although it doesn't look big from the outside, it takes two to three hours to visit carefully.) RCMP Heritage Centre💕💕 The ticket costs a dozen dollars. It mainly showcases the founding history of the police in the northwest. 🎅There are also displays of modern technology. You can experience being a police officer and trying on police uniforms.🎈 ✨✨There's also a section where you can experience detective work. The historical part is a bit dull. If you're not very interested, you can directly go to the interactive area to play. 🏗️ 🆕The exhibition area is only on the first floor, and it can be visited in over an hour. Good Fortune Kitchen A Hong - Kong - style restaurant we saw recommended on Xiaohongshu. It's really delicious. 🍒🍑 We ordered the fish - flavored eggplant casserole and beef brisket curry casserole as recommended.👣 My husband said the taste was very authentic, with a strong wok - hei flavor. I tried the yang - ying fried rice for the first time, and it was unexpectedly good. 🍏🍌 🥚The sweet and sour taste is even better when mixed together. The restaurant is not large, and many people order take - out. The boss is the only one serving, so the service is a bit slow, but he's very warm and sincere. The portion of the dishes is also quite large. We highly recommend this place.👀👀 👉👈The biggest feeling during this trip to Saskatchewan is that the tourism in this province has been seriously underestimated. 🌈🌈Several major cities and parks are very interesting, offering experiences that you can't get in other places. Whether it's about nature or human history, it's great. 👍👍 It can definitely support a travel destination for more than a week. I hope more people will come and visit.🌳🌳🌳 #AcrossCanada #Regina #FoodinRegina
