🇩🇪 Asam Church, Germany ✨
🇩🇪 The most unforgettable church from my last trip wasn’t Notre Dame in Paris—it was a small church in Munich, Germany. ⛪️ The church is called Asamkirche (Asam Church), located in Munich, not far from the main attraction Marienplatz. At first, I was a bit skeptical after seeing so many recommendations—the entrance looked plain. But the moment I pushed open the door, I was completely awestruck. It was one of those moments where words simply fail. I visited in the afternoon on the first day and was so moved that I went back the next day to experience the daylight glow. Still absolutely breathtaking. ⛪️ Asam Church was built by the Asam brothers between 1733 and 1746. It was originally intended as a private chapel but opened to the public due to protests from local citizens. 😈 The architectural style blends Baroque and Rococo elements, making it one of the most splendid buildings in Bavaria. It’s known as the pinnacle of dark Baroque-style churches. 📷 I’ve included a detailed layout of the church in the last image. If you ever have the chance to visit Munich, don’t miss it! ✌️ Practical Info: 💒 Asam Church 💒 📍 Sendlinger Str. 32, 80331 Munich, Germany 🕙 Opening Hours: 9:00 - 18:00 (Friday: 13:00-18:00) 📌 Tips: The church is close to Marienplatz.
