🇩🇪 Authentic Japanese Food in Munich

Only 3 spots—all approved by my Japanese friends! 🍣✨ 1️⃣ Haguruma 🏮 📍 Near Isar River | 👨‍🍳 Run by a kind Japanese grandpa A tiny, detail-obsessed gem where even the tableware feels carefully curated! 🍶 The prawn tempura is heavenly—succulent, crispy perfection. Also loved their sashimi, donburi, and udon (less into sushi here). Prices range from €30-€60+ depending on appetite. Why it’s special: Tagesmenu (lunch set) on weekdays = insane value! Grandpa notices everything—once left a half-eaten dish just because a lone shrimp cracker remained. Respect. 🙏 His subtle, graceful way of clearing plates (no clattering!) makes you feel like a honored guest. ⭐ My #1 Japanese spot in Munich! 2️⃣ AOI Ramen 🍜🐈 📍 Near Olympiapark (Rotkreuzplatz) Cozy AF, with a bonus chance of spotting the resident cat! 🐾 Though named for ramen, their karaage (fried chicken) and teriyaki chicken rice (comes with miso soup + potato salad) are stellar too. Portions are delicate—like a scene from a Japanese drama. 🎌 3️⃣ Takumi 🍥 📍 Multiple branches (TUM/South Munich) | 🏷 Hokkaido-style chain A Japanese classmate (from Sapporo) swears it tastes like home! 🏔️ Try their limited-edition ramen (30 bowls/day!) or homemade black sesame/matcha ice cream. 🍦 P.S. JanpanHaus is also on my list! 📝 #Munich #JapaneseFood #MunichFoodie #GermanyTravel
