Then she found Haguruma, a hidden gem where every dish on the lunch menu is well-prepared. The sashimi is fresh, and dishes like tempura and teriyaki chicken bento set are authentically Japanese. I've mainly enjoyed their Chirashi, my favorite. When I took the first bite, it felt like tears of emotion welled up (a bit exaggerated), but my stomach did scream a bit for contentment.
The only hitch is the small kitchen, often requiring reservations, and the chefs might be a tad grumpy with loud children, as is common in many Japanese restaurants. And for dinner I am sure the food will be even better, just a bit more pricey and better go...

What stood out the most were the slices of mackerel sashimi—something you can only enjoy when it's incredibly fresh—and the beautifully seared Katsuo Tataki, which you’d usually only find at upscale Japanese restaurants.
The recommended sake had a delicate and refined flavor, with a hint of sweetness on the finish that paired beautifully with the meal.
