🇩🇪 Cologne Restaurant Recommendations

First of all — avoid restaurants near Cologne Cathedral ❌. They’re always crowded, but the food and service are mediocre (though to be fair, service in Cologne overall isn’t great anyway…😅). Here are a few places I’ve tried and liked 👍: 1️⃣ Good Food Köln 🥗 📍 Im Mediapark 5, 50670 Köln, Germany Located near a shopping mall plaza — easy parking 🚗, indoor/outdoor seating available. Nice atmosphere and decent service. No reservation needed; usually plenty of space. 🥗 Recommended: Kitchen Bowl & Dragon Bowl — both delicious! Their tapas are also tasty. 2️⃣ Deutzer Brauhaus 🍖 (German Restaurant) 📍 Ottopl. 7, 50679 Köln, Germany Perfect after visiting the Cathedral — just cross the Hohenzollern Bridge over the Rhine (takes about 20 mins 🚶‍♀️), and enjoy the river views and love locks on the way 🔒❤️. This place is popular — reserve ahead for indoor seating. It’s often windy, so sitting outside can be chilly 🥶. 🍗 The roasted pork is amazing — super crispy skin! But portions are huge. Three of us couldn’t finish one order. 3️⃣ Mangia e vai Machabäerstraße 🍝 (Italian Restaurant) 📍 Machabäerstraße 61, 50668 Köln, Germany Reserve in advance for large groups.
